Experiences of Black Caregivers and the Effects on Children's Ability to Swim

In this study, students utilized a mixed methods exploratory design that consisted of using surveys and interviews to examine the relationship between Black caregivers’ perspectives on swimming and their childrens' ability to swim.

Socio-economic Status Effect on Swim Test Pass Rate 

In this study, students investigated the relationship between socioeconomic status and the pre-test pass rate for swimming by conducting a secondary data analysis of data provided by Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces (MDPRO).

Adapting the Whale Tales Program for Children with Disabilities

This research study adapted the American Red Cross Whale Tales program to fit the learning needs of children with autism.

Parent Water Safety Training

For this study, students assessed parents pre- and post-water safety training to assess their knowledge on water safety. These parents received a modified water safety training tailored to parents of children with disabilities.
