Loudness Discomfort in Autism

This survey study served to investigate auditory sensitivity and its impact on anxiety and social activities in children with autism spectrum disorders.

Therapy Needs in the Florida Keys

This study conducted needs assessments of therapy services for children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in the Florida Keys and conducted focus groups to explore perceptions of parents of children with ASD regarding access to care in the area.

Screen Time and Eye Movements

This study examined the influences of screen time on eye movements in children ages 11-13 years old. For this study participants completed the Developmental Eye Movement (DEM) test, a brief standardized test that measures speed and errors in eye movements as a person reads a list of numbers. Screen time estimates were reported through iphone usage statistics or self-report.

Self Regulation Skills

This study observed changes in how children feel during sensory-based activities. A watch-like sensor was used to measure specific changes in their brain-body response while the child participated in different activities.
