ALEXANDRA PALACIO, BA, OTS.
2018-2021 Graduate Research Assistant
Alexandra Palacio is an FIU graduate with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and is currently in her first year of the Masters in Science of Occupational Therapy program at FIU.
Alexandra has extensive experience shadowing pediatric occupational therapists, as well as experience interacting with children of all ages. She has observed various treatment techniques and diagnoses, such as ASD, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities. She also has experience volunteering in the NICU at Nicklaus Children's Hospital.
ISAIAS COLON, BA.
2018-2019 Graduate Research Assistant
Isaias Colon is an FIU graduate, earning his Bachelors in Psychology alongside completing the required pre-medical coursework for entrance into medical programs. He has 2 years of experience working with children diagnosed with ADHD in the Afterschool Treatment Program at FIU and also has volunteer experience at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. He is currently studying and working to soon enter a medical program to pursue his M.D.
Shelby McKeever, BA, M.P.H S
2021-2022 Graduate Research Assistant
Shelby McKeever is a first year M.P.H student studying Biostatistics at Florida International University. She recently graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she absolutely fell in love with research and is looking forward to the opportunity to grow in a larger academic setting. She is originally from Melbourne Beach, FL and plans to stay in the Miami area for the next two years while completing her degree.
Monica Niebles, BA, OTS
2022-2023 Graduate Research Assistant
Monica Niebles is a first-year Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy student at Florida International University (FIU). She recently graduated with a B.S in Biomedical Engineering from FIU and has been working in the lab since the Spring 2021 semester. She has experience shadowing in outpatient pediatric and adult occupational therapy settings.
Katherine “Kate” Long, PHD Student, MOT, OTR/L
2022-2023 Graduate Research Assistant
Katherine “Kate” Long is a 2nd year Developmental Science Ph.D. student at Florida International University. She also is a licensed occupational therapist with 6 years of clinical experience in adult mental health and school-based settings. Her research involves developmental disabilities, functional rehabilitation, and fine motor skill development.
Ashlee Tuttle, BA, OTS
2022-2023 Graduate Research Assistant
Ashlee is a first-year Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy student at Florida International University. She graduated from Cleveland State University in Cleveland, OH with a B.S in Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology and Health Care Management. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona for a year to work in an inpatient hospital as a therapy technician. She hopes to work in a neurological occupational therapy setting upon graduation.

Taylor Saenz,

Taylor graduated from Florida International University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is currently earning her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at FIU.

Tiffany Morales,
Volunteer Research Assistant
Tiffany is a recent graduate from Florida International University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Biology. Currently, she is pursuing a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy at FIU.
